It all began in December 2015. Craig Leon introduced me to Kevin Ryan and Bryan Kehew, who invited me to be a team member for the George Martin: The Scores project.
So I prepared scores and parts for the sessions in London (Abbey Road Studio Two), which took place in June 2016. There, I supervised the recording sessions, conducted by Craig. Re-recordings of some of Martin’s arrangements in their original form: Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields Forever, I Am The Walrus, Here Comes The Sun, Yesterday, Old Boston, In My Life (piano solo).
Then in 2024/25, I served as a consultant to Kevin on 23 chapters also creating music examples.
After ten years, the moment has finally arrived. The lavish three-volume, deluxe book project from Curvebender Publishing is now in my hands! Kevin and Brian: You’ve done a really great job! I am totally thrilled.
I would like to thank the following people, who have been a great support to me in my work: Brian Kehew, Craig Leon, Giles Martin, Sam Okell, Kevin Ryan, Adam Sharp, Jacqueline ›Jackie‹ Shave and Cassell Webb Leon.
Speaking of Sir George: In the summer of 2017 Craig invited me to take part in another George Martin project serving as associate producer and music engraver: The Film Scores and Original Orchestral Music of George Martin.
So I consider myself very fortunate for all these fantastic experiences!
